What is Glossophobia/ Stage fear?
~    The aspect of speaking publicly whether it be infront of a group of people or group of friends, what triggers the anxiety of the speaker.
Students fear of embarrassment infront of crowd of people in an unfamiliar situation.

~    It has been estimated that 75% of all people experience some degree of anxiety/ nervousness when it comes to public speaking.

CAUSES OF STAGE ANXIETY

~    It can cause a serious detrimental effects on one's quality of life , career goals & others.
~    You have a previous bad experience.
~    You are letting your nerves get the best of you.
~    Fear of failure or fear of failed performance.
~    Negative thoughts before your presentation.
~    Perfectionism & comparing themselves from others.

SYMPTOMS OF STAGE ANXIETY

~    Shaking.
~    Sweating.
~    Butterflies in stomach.
~    Dry mouth.
~    Rapid heartbeats.
~    Wobbly legs & feel faint.

HOW TO OVERCOME STAGE ANXIETY?

~    Do not have eye contact with the audiences.
~    Practice speaking infront of small groups.
~    Anxiety can be reduced when speaker know the topic very well & believe in it.
~    Remind yourselves that mistakes are often unnoticed by the audiences.
~    When your mind goes blank you can often ask questions to audiences to involve them & this can give you more time to remember the topic.

EDUCATION POLICY 2020 New Education Policy was launched on Wednesday, July 29. Earlier, in the afternoon the Union cabinet approved the policy that aims to overhaul the country’s education system.  The NEP 2020 aims at making “ India a global knowledge superpower”.  The new academic session will begin in September-October – the delay is due to the unprecedented coronavirus disease (Covid-19) outbreak – and the government aims to introduce the policy before the new session starts.
